Also called ‘Non-Formal Education (NFE), which started from the inception of Rasta, with the main objective to provide education to children in the age group of 6 to 14 years who have never been to school or who have dropped out from the school without completing their elementary education due to various reasons. The children remain at the Rasta NFE Centres for periods ranging from 6 months to 2 years, after which they are enabled to take admission in Formal school (Government/Private/Rasta School) in age-appropriate class or distance learning through National Institute of Open Schooling. So far Rasta has educated nearly 15000 children through NFE intervention.
