Open Basic Education (OBE)

This programme was initiated in 2010 when Rasta was running several non-formal education centres and children were not able to take admission in Formal Schools due to various reasons like being overage for the required grade, school’s distant location, or family commitments like taking care of a younger sibling at home. For them to continue their education and get certificates for class III, V and VIII , we prepare them for respective examinations and get a certificate from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) so that they can have the Government-recognized certificate and continue their studies.
