In order to promote preventive, promotive and curative health of the poor, Rasta visits the community and organizes health camps where services like growth monitoring, testing for minor and major ailments, supply of vitamin tablets, supply of medicines for minor ailments and supply of nutritious food/special diet for small children, are rendered. Aids Awareness Programme which was started in 2010, with the support of DSACS of the Government of Delhi, is an important component of Rasta’s Community Health intervention. Under this, following the general aids awareness programme conducted among 1,78,163 migrant high risk behavior people, Rasta has identified 111 HIV reactive of individuals, in South Shahdra of East Delhi and helping them to get treated.
