Success Story of Govind

“Today, I feel so empowered when I share about my life experiences and the struggles I’ve faced being a girl.

15 year old Govind aspire to be an army officer in his life, but he never imagined that he would continue his studies one day. He hails from a village  Shirosh in the Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. He was only 5 years old when his parents migrated to Noida for better livelihood opportunities.

His parents had to work hard to fulfil their financial needs. When his parents had to leave for work, he was responsible to look after his sibling and the other house chores. During a survey conducted by Rasta in 2018, Govind was identified as a drop out from the school.

Rasta team went to his house to talk with his parents about Gurukul Centre, and after continuous motivation and regular visits, they agreed for the admission.

Initially, Govind was enrolled in NFE but in a small span of time he started showing improvement in academics and he was transferred to OBE (Open Basic education) classes.

He also participates actively in extra-curricular activities .Now Govind has passed 8th class with flying colors and got admission in a Government school in class 9th.  He is thankful to Rasta for showing him a path towards success.
